Yoga Joes.
Banana tree.
Fig tree.
Bookshelf.
...and more.
All found new homes through the website yesterday, and we have a party of new buddies coming over to pick up most of it tonight at 7p.
It's truly amazing, and exciting, that all of these things will find new purpose elsewhere, and that we're meeting incredible people along the way.
I'm looking around this morning at all the things that remain...like the dining table, that ABC home pink mini-couch, saddle chair + turkish rugs; and I'm trying to imagine where they will all be as we trickle through the next month...who on earth will they belong to?
In the meantime, as we have less and less to sit on, Aviv and I are thinking about building a floor-bed, smack-dab in the middle of this place. How fun will it be to lay amidst a pile of blankets and watch a movie? Or spread out a tablecloth and host the last few meals with friends in this place--sitting on the floor? Hopefully the floor will be the only thing left soon! :)
There's something about all this that commands us to think differently. It's funny that we could have built a floor-bed here at anytime in the past year; couch-less or not, chair-less or not...but why sit on the floor when you could easily spread yourself onto a couch? Our minds tend to jump to the obvious solutions in our lives, and it's funny that we save "thinking out of the box" in times of necessity. Why not look at the world this way everyday? That's the most exciting part of what we're doing here, and I'm sold!
