The loft has yet to find its next owner... and though we wish it were otherwise, there is a silver lining in everything—as long as you care enough to acknowledge it.
That said, it is a little funny that while every object inside this place took on new lives quicker than expected, the loft itself is taking its time to get into the right hands. Whatever the reason, so be it! Sometimes in life you can only control so much. We'll deal, and we'll enjoy it while its still ours. :)
I'm looking around at it now—empty. I'm writing from the kitchen counter because the ghost of the RH kitchen island can't hold the weight... In a way now, I can see all of the phantom furniture: the way this house was a home only a short couple months back—and how we may have been here still with all our objects had this crazy idea never been brought to fruition.
I think of the experiences that we've had in these past couple of months in this place—the number of strangers + new friends we were able to make, simply in light of the fact that they saw the same treasure we saw, and we happened to want to give that treasure away.
What is certainly true is that though I may picture phantom furniture inside this loft now, it's still way too good a living space to feel like it has phantom people too!
So we'll be here until the ultimate new friends are made—until they take our places in this wonderful living space. The rest of our adventure will wait patiently until they arrive, as will we.
To cultivating patience, and a very happy Thursday!
