What a weekend! Full of early nights to bed (much needed), family time, and wheeling some of the last bits of furniture into the rickety elevator, and out into the world to meet their next adventures.
On Friday + Saturday, we said goodbye to our Kilim rug (sorry Adnan, we'll have to wax-poetic about another piece of decoration!), the wonderful Restoration Hardware Baker's rack, and our sound system. In the process, we added more nic-nacs for sale on the site (see here!), we made some new friends... and through them we may have found two options for apartments we might want to inhabit come the winter time! Chelsea and the East Village—here we come...? We shall see!
But speaking of destinations—the first one has been decided! (drum roll!!)....Lower East Side is the first on the list! We're going back to our roots! Well, our most favorite past-NYC neighborhood roots at least.
Wandering around the LES this weekend, we recalled how much we enjoyed the culture over there: it's the neighborhood of some of NYC's first synagogues, The Tenement Museum (which we've never been to!); it's the neighborhood of Bagels + Lox, obscure art galleries (even more have popped up in the last three years!), and not to mention the infamous Erin McKenna's Baby Cakes and up-and-coming Thai food concepts....among so many other things. I am personally so excited to rediscover it all, and to share it right here with those who want to follow along on the adventure!
We even found Apartment #1 (we'll give it its proper name when we get to know it a bit better), on the corner of Orchard Street. It's all happening!
All this said, Wooster St still has a vacancy and this loft is so looking forward to meeting its next set of dwellers...we wonder who it will be!
As more people come to view it throughout this week, we'll be hanging out with this little guy!
World, meet Omri! Just a year old and he's already made his way to NYC! :) Didn't I tell you that face was cute? ;)
Happy Monday to you all!
